GOAL: As a group, you will research a classical civilization and curate a virtual museum dedicated to teaching others about your civilization. The museum should contain nine unique artifacts, a timeline, and a curator's office where your bibliography can be located. Your museum will become a tool used by fellow classmates.
ROLE: Each group member must become a curator to one room of your museum. A curator is a content specialist responsible for an institution's collections who interprets material in order to present it to the public. Each group member will take on a specialty:
AUDIENCE: Your fellow classmates will rely upon your museum to give them an overview of the civilization you studied. Classmates will be seeking to understand why the articles you've chosen to display are essential to understanding your civilization overall.
SITUATION: You will have a week to research your civilization using at least three separate sources. Notes from each source will be recorded in an annotated bibliography, which you will print at the end of each workday. After research is complete, you will choose an object which you believe best represents each aspect of your civilization and write a CER statement explaining its inclusion in the museum.
PRODUCT(S): Each group will produce an online virtual museum using the template below.
